8 "TOOLS" TO FLOW WITH NEW EARTH CHANGES & MINIMIZE THE EFFECTS OF ASG - ACCELERATED SPIRITUAL GROWTH

It is my perception, maybe yours too, that we are now experiencing a quantum leap in our spiritual development. Such rapid growth can shift our thoughts and feelings for the better.

Yet sometimes, the intensity of this energetic stimulation and accelerated spiritual growth can produce unwanted side-effects such as disorientation, dizziness, aching muscles, joints and back-pain, dental issues, memory loss, depression for no clear reason, anxiety-tension, disrupted sleep patterns, intense fatigue, electrical like sensations flowing throughout the body and many more!

To minimize side-effects and also, to navigate through these critical times with greater ease and grace, I recommend the following activities. They are not sexy folks nor are they unfamiliar. Yet, let us consider them from the angle of the human energy field and this special time we are in.

BREATHING – if you observe an infant or pet, say a dog you will see that they are abdominal breathers. With each breath in, their belly rises; and their belly falls on exhale. Breath symbolizes spirit, life, and when we breathe deeply (into our stomach area), we not only take in more oxygen to balance and nourish the cells of our bodies but we calm the mind and emotions, regain our clarity and focus, and open to our intuitive wisdom. We become more radiant, literally.

Deep-breathing is a very effective way to center and de-stress ourselves. Each deep breath tends to purify and cleanse our energy field at many levels and octaves, including the meridians that feed lifeforce energy into the body’s various organs. Sometimes, conscious deep breathing will cause a repressed emotion to bubble up from the subconscious mind provoking a response like, “Where on earth did THAT come from?” Well, maybe your childhood, when your teacher scolded you in front of the class as you turned beet red. Who Knows?

If this happens, it is helpful to choose to acknowledge and embrace the emotion rather than deny it. We can do this by breathing into our stomach area with awareness and intention to allow that emotional energy to come up and out (rather than down and inwards).

Many times, we unconsciously tend to stuff our negative emotions like we’d stuff a turkey. Problem is, basting ourselves in negativity fouls everything up, diminishing our fulfillment, joy and success in the world (hmmm…am I channeling Swami Beyondananda here?).

The topic of breath and breathing is surprisingly large. for example, there is pranayama breathing in the yogic tradition which is a science of the breath.

Oh, the "breatharians" believe you can forego food and get your sustenance from air alone. While that I'd have to see to believe, here are a few more easy-to-do tips for working with your breath...

DEEP BREATHING UPON AWAKENING IN THE MORNING – When we first awaken in the morning, the contents of the subconscious mind, with its fear and warehoused negativity tends to be more accessible. This presents a great opportunity to do some deep-breathing into your abdominal area while you lay there in bed. Abdominal breathing is also easier for many people, when laying down. Try taking 10 long breaths (less perhaps when first starting out), focusing your full attention on the sensation of air as it fills your lungs and elevates your stomach. An effective technique is to make this a mini-meditation, where you silently intend, on each breath, something to the effect of “I am now breathing is God’s Peace and Comfort,” and on exhale, “I am releasing all negativity and fear.” Visualizing breathing in the color blue for example, can also help quiet your mind and calm your ramped-up emotions.

A more advanced form of abdominal breathing is to consciously breath into the heart center (or chakra) and to exhale through the stomach, while engaging in some additional intention work, say to feel deep gratitude or appreciation. This can be particularly effective as a means of cultivating the power of the heart and to become more heart-centered. The benefits are vast. I will include instructions on how to do this at a later time.

DEEP BREATHS THROUGHOUT THE DAY
On my computer I have a mindfulness program that sounds off at regular intervals of your choice. But you can set your watch or other device to sound at selected intervals too. Set it to sound every hour for example, and that can be your cue to take a few deep breaths into your solar plexus area. You can also do a quick body scan at these times, noting areas of your body that are tense, contracted as you breath into these areas with the intention to relax there as well.
You can download the mindfulness program for free @ www.mindfulnessdc.org.

WATER – do we really need to drink those 6, 8-ounce glasses of water each day that many advise? While the exact amount of water needed is controversial, and it is possible to overdo it and drink too much, the fact is our bodies are comprised of 70-80% water and it is vital that we take in the water we need. Drinking purified water helps detoxify the body, promote a healthier, alkaline pH, and quell over-eating by dampening our sense of hunger (sometimes the body is not giving hunger signals, but cues to drink more water). But water also improves the alignment or fit between our physical body and the bio-field (etheric body) that is the blue-print for the physical body. The bio-field “feeds” or nourishes the physical body, adding to its vitality. Like breath, drinking more purified water can help us unwind, relax, and de-stress. Incidentally, since the intensity of spiritual energy on the planet continues to increase, we may need to drink even more water during certain high-intensity occasions as say during times of peak solar activity.

DIETARY – I am going to state something you already know, but it needs emphasizing -- it has probably never been as important to eat closer to nature. Including more fruits and vegetables (certain organic products can be more nutrient dense) and eating less processed foods will provide your body with the nutrients and vitality it needs to function best. While the decision to be a vegetarian is a personal one, the merits of minimizing red meat consumption which has a denser energetic signature, are many.

I typically consume moderate amounts daily of fish or poultry. A few years back, I spent three weeks with a medical doctor well-known in alternative treatment circles. His wife, a gourmet cook, only used carefully selected organic unprocessed food ingredients. I marveled at how radiant and alive my body felt. It seemed to sing with delight, nourished with the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients it needed.

When selecting fruits and vegetables, “go for the rainbow” meaning choose a wide variety of colors, red, orange, purple, green etc… Different hues imply different nutrients – seek variety for optimal nutrition. Eating more “living” foods and less processed foods is easier on your liver, the body’s detoxification organ and will allow you to “lighten-up” your body’s energetic profile, for more radiance and vitality and less lethargy, stress, anxiety and negativity each day.

EFT: TAP-A-TAP-A-TAPPA…The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) was developed by Gary Craig in the early 90s. It is a basic, tried-and-true method in the field of energy psychology. It is quick and easy and allows for the stimulation of specific acupuncture points by way of a slight tapping motion with index and middle fingers. EFT has many applications from eliminating aches and pains in the body ( I once used EFT to totally eliminate the excruciating pain of an abscessed tooth at a time my dentist was unavailable) to enhancing sports performance. It is also an effective way to clear away negative emotions such as fear, despair, sadness, anger or anxiety that may arise. It has real value in promoting a more positive state-of-mind that's important during these times of accelerated manifestation of thoughts and feelings. We want to manifest into our lives our heart's desires. Not what we fear of loathe.

GROUNDING WORK – This is an often overlooked area, even for healers and spiritual teachers. The term “being-grounded” means different things to different people. To some, it might mean being more practical regarding certain areas of your life. For others, it means going out and getting close to the earth to connect with earth energy – working in the garden, working your hands in the soil or hugging a tree. While doing this can promote being more grounded energetically, I believe it is a poor substitute for other means and methods. I teach a variety of grounding methods in my work. It seldom ceases to amaze me how being properly grounded seems to complete an energetic circuit with our higher nature. This allows you to connect with the current of Spiritual energy more profoundly, and your radiance can extend outwards more profoundly into the environment. When we ground properly, we become less susceptible to “pernicious” influences or the negativity others. And as I tell people in my workshops, it makes it difficult to be in a fearful or negative state of mind.

A simple grounding exercise – Imagine that your legs are like the roots of a tree, extending deep into the earth’s core. The visual image is not as important as the felt sense that your legs are easily penetrating through floor, and into the earth. Through soul, clay and bedrock. I have found that what you ground into is important. Some energy practitioners suggest that the earth has an energetic template or grid to support it. The old 3-D grid as some would call it, of a low dense quality has been replaced by a new earth 5-D grid that makes it easier to come into your spiritual power. I find that when I intend to connect into the Christ- Consciousness aspect of the earth star crystal at the center of the planet that my experiences are always positive and powerful.

Do this for about 3-4 minutes. Avoid a hurried or rushed sense and maintain a sharp focused attention as much as possible.

Tools for A New Earth member, Meg Benedicte offers an excellent grounding exercise at her website (www.megbenedicte.com) that also ensures for a positive, beneficial grounding experience. The audio is free and is only a few minutes long.

Another quick easy way to ground your energyfield, is to imagine that you are standing alongside a giant tree, like a California Redwood. Wrap your arms around the tree. Gaze upwards, awed by the magnificence. Then, look at the base of the tree and imagine the huge roots extending unfathomably deep into the earth. As you do, draw your attention to your own legs, and in particular your feet. It also helps to have stockings or bare feet. Rub your feet on the floor or carpet, just focusing your attention there fully. Imagine that you are now blending with the tree, again make sure you “ground, anchor and integrate” into the Christ- Consciousness aspect of the earth star crystal at the center of the planet.

Incidentally, negative energy tends to get eliminated through the big toes of both feet. If you bury the tip of each big toe into the carpet, or gently tap the big toe against a firm surface, that seems to promote the circulation and release of dense, stuck or negative energy.

EXERCISE - Physical exercise is important for good heart and body health. Furthermore, exercise stimulates the body’s energy system through the enhanced activity of blood and lymph while it releases feel-good hormones and calms the mind and emotions. If you exert yourself physically, you’ll breath more deeply, and this energizes your biofield with a greater influx of lifeforce energy.

Even simple walking strengthens the cardiovascular and at the same time, promotes greater flow of lymph fluid. This is because our lymphatic system, lacking a pump organ like the heart, relies substantially on physical movement for proper functioning. Lymph fluid that is flowing rather than stagnant, acts as an assist the body’s detoxification efforts and helps ease the stress on an otherwise over-burdened liver.

Getting out in nature for exercise, as in hiking, bicycling, canoeing, jogging offer many additional benefits as you leave the energetic pollution of urban areas behind. In nature, it’s easier to attune to the earth’s restorative and healing energy field. One’s Higher Self and Spirit seem more accessible and this promotes a more optimal inner balance of body, mind and spirit.

It is also possible to draw-in energy from the sun. I like to breath sunlight in through my forehead area (known as the ajna center or 6th chakra) and direct it to the pineal gland in the mid-brain region. Sounds strange I know, but if you try this, you will find it quite energizing.

Another mind-body exercise that I enjoy doing while in nature is to focus my attention say on birds chirping at one moment in my left ear and then in the other, the right ear. Doing this for a few minutes (and your focused attention to the sound as it enters each ear plays an important role) seems to balance brain functioning, promoting a whole-brained state where intuition and clarity are heightened.

LIGHTEN-UP! – Laughter has many physical benefits well-recognized even in traditional medicine. More oxygen through laughter, promotes a healthier biochemistry. Feel-good hormones (opiates) are released. The body releases its physical holding patterns and so too the intellect releases its tight grip and dominance allowing us to shift into a more whole-brained state where our Spirit selves can enter. Laughter helps clear congested emotional energy and elevate our energetic, vibrational rate which is the name of the game in this time of opportunity for accelerated spiritual growth and mastery

BE THE OBSERVER – Eckhart Tolle is a masterful teacher of mindfulness meditation and I highly recommend his work to others. The essence of being mindful is to be the detached observer who expands the lens of perception to sense “what is” without judgment or excessive intellectual analysis. To observe is in a sense to just “let it be” in the spirit of acceptance. Getting to this more neutral state is an important barometer of spiritual growth and development. Since what we think and perceive directly impacts how we feel, it can also lead to a more serene life during otherwise stressful times.

Finally, it is useful to consider minimizing energy drains, ranging from poor sleep habits, to simplifying an over-scheduling and a stress-filled life, to engaging in fewer arguments with others, to avoiding spending excessive time on the computer or being exposed to man-made electrical fields.

Many Blessings,

Great article! Could you tell me more about "the Christ- Consciousness aspect of the earth star crystal at the center of the planet" or where I could read about it?

Sure Laurie,

Thanks... I first learned of the Christ-Consciousness aspect of the earth star crystal through mystery school training with Amorah Quan Yin. If you do a google search you should find her website.

I haven't heard of the concept from others. But if you take time to ground and set intention to ground, anchor and integrate into the earth star crystal as I suggested in the article, you can gauge for yourself if there is merit in doing so.

Again, the idea is we need to be conscious of WHAT we are grounding in to. I also find it makes a noticeable difference to intend to ground into what some have called the "New Earth Crystalline Grid" or what others have called the ascension grid, unity consciousness grid, golden consciousness grid, diamond paradise matrix of the earth's crystalline grid, the planetary blue diamond crystalline grid, world angel grid...wheehhh - feels like grid-lock here!

Let me know if you have further questions, but I guess my main point would be to test drive this and trust your own perceptions.

Many Blessings,
Russ

Your wisdom is of great value.
"I find that when I intend to connect into the Christ- Consciousness aspect of the earth star crystal at the center of the planet that my experiences are always positive and powerful." ~ It's surprising how well that works~ I have never considered feeling around for a Christ-Consciousness in the center of the earth! But it's there, I can easily feel that, and surprised I haven't noticed it, before.

I suspect it isn't a coincidence that I began to feel more centered after taking up more frequent hiking and nature-communing! In my last entry on my Christine of Epiphany blog I wrote about the experience, it has been so profound and meaningful and WELCOME!

I'm printing this sucker out~ thanks so much for sharing it with us!

Hi Russ
There is perhaps a misconception that the change process is joyful and full of light, which it is. But it also demands huge endurance and patience. I want to share `how it really is`. I find it helpful when i am in process to remind myself how it is. Your tips are spot on!

The Challenge of the Change Process
How it feels to grow in love, wisdom and wholeness

The change process can be said to be essentially, a process of mediating the unconscious, be it light or dark. In this usage, the unconscious is what is not yet integrated into conscious life. On one level is the `personal` unconscious, containing the personal shadow; on another the `impersonal` or transcendent `unconscious`. The change process is not a glamorous process, it is hard slog, patience, endurance, trust. But then again, each time lived in the liminal space, light floods the body, the diamond body is strengthened.

These are the key challenges -
Nakedness, Solitude & Safe Space
Sadness & Letting go.
Struggle & Tension
Breaking down & Cruxifixion
Surrender
Waiting
Secret

When you are liminal, in the in-between place, you are naked. This nakedness is openness, permeability. Hence a need for solitude, for temenos, safe and sacred space, while one`s inner psychic structure is being broken down. It is helpful if you have some ability to tolerate insecurity.
Isolation is also needed so that energy is not lost, not dissipated. Energy is dammed, sinks, and collects in the unconscious, then breaks through.

Every change is a dying. Acknowledge the sadness and care for the part that`s dying. Sadness is releasing held blockages, releasing the past. Letting go is sadness. Sadness is associated also with a feeling of betrayal of one`s past self that is being released.

When energy first emerges from the unconscious, it is ugly, and misformed. It comes with a raw energy bringing an opposing tension. There is a sense of threat, unease, fear, edginess, not knowing. It seems as if titans are bulging out of your body trying to be born. [Titans were the original offspring of the creator god Uranus, rejected for being ugly.] There is a discomfort, which means something is emerging. A rumble in the jungle, `tyger tyger burning bright`. This is Jacob wrestling with the angel till dawn, not letting go until the angel gives him blessing.

Ego /consciousness is a closed energy system, it first needs to be broken apart, dissolved, penetrated, before a new content can be introduced. Our house [ego] is demolished, beams taken down. Meanwhile we live as a wave. We resist the wave.

Light can be a torment and agony for the body. Light is experienced as alien, strange. There may be a sense of being crucified, pinned down, mortificatio, putrefactio, nigredo, calcinatio, fixatio, being cooked, going through the mill, being ground up or ground down, tarot`s hanged woman.

Surrender is the order of the day, not fighting or resisting the process, accepting. And don't try too hard. Perhaps that is the purpose of the grinding down, until you surrender and trust.

The process is opus, work; it uses life energy and time. There is a payment. Mother nature demands a sacrifice /cruxifixion for the theft of light. You may be extremely tired, and achy, hot, insomniac, nauseous, and have tooth problems etc.

In this space there is only waiting, enduring, subfering [in its meaning of allowing] - no thought. The midwife waits. There is no taking the baby out of the womb to look at it. Like dough in an oven, one is tormented in the heat. It is hard to be still, to be acted on. The need is to listen. Percolate, just sit, letting sand sink to bottom. Wait for the still small voice.

The process cannot be rushed, it has its own rhythm. Give it time. Unlike thought, which is instantaneous, - feeling, intuition, and body sense, all these take time. Reason deals with what is known; the others with what is new. To create something new - pregnancy time is needed. Time is needed to collect the energy, to prepare for change. One is ground, being prepared for something. The body digests in time, slowly, without words, integrating `it`. Real change happens in the body.

The work is secret, not to be spoken of, to those who have not the same experience. Not an overlay of secrecy but innate, from inside out. It is not meant to be exclusive. It cannot be spoken because it cannot be understood, it can only be experienced.

Then, when you feel you cannot endure it any longer, the depression lifts, the sun shines, energy returns, you have retrieved the pearl from the dragon`s mouth. Meanwhile Russ` tips are very helpful.

Wow, thanks, this came right at the time I needed it - and glad to know I am not the only one. I have had some aching in my hands and forearms, and some tiredness - I will try these ideas out. I have noticed when doing the EFT that I often forget to breathe deeply.

CUTTING-EDGE TOOLS FOR TRANSFORMATION

Recently, an MD well-known in energy psychology circles, posed the following question, which I paraphrase, "If the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) which has so revolutionized our ability to heal the pain-body and empower our creative intentions, represents only the starting point or ground-floor of our knowledge, then what might represent the next, cutting-edge form of spiritual technology?
